Jasper Wegman recently visited Argentina to accompany the collaborators of the foundation Che Amigo which he founded 8 years ago.

Jasper still works as fundraiser and manager of the foundation, despite the fact he now lives in Amsterdam, and his visit aimed at encouraging those who work with the foundation, making plans with key collaborators, mentoring some trainers and raising funds for the operations of the organization.

Che Amigo was the result of his ever-longing desire to contribute to the reduction of poverty and of the appreciation he gained for local initiatives when, during his world trip in 2004, he worked in the slums of Buenos Aires for 6 months. He created Che Amigo to support these initiatives and used his experience in leadership training to develop a program for youth.

They now work with several communities from Argentina and Bolivia. Each year, 20 talented young people from each community attend the leadership program to develop their skills and attitudes to start themselves an initiative that will help their community.
