W. Gijs van de Fliert

Gijs van de Fliert is a seasoned professional, who led problem solving and mitigation of risk initiatives at both project and corporate level. With extensive institutional knowledge and an appreciation of an institution’s holistic growth and development, he embraced process renewal initiatives (“change management”) and applied technical and analytical expertise towards solutions. His main areas of expertise include finance and risk management at many levels.

He is a proponent of entities that promote the wellbeing of staff, the environment, and the larger community. He has experience from four continents and worked on private sector development projects in Southeast Asia. Retired in 2016 from the International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group, and has since been engaged in local community building activities and services, as well as with ebbf.
