Marc Himel

Marc Himel is the Director of Inside Sales and Customer Success for MKS Instruments Photonics Solutions Division where he is using his 30 years of experience and training to significantly improve both the contact center experience of our customers and the team’s direct contributions to sales. Prior to this Marc worked in business development, product line management and systems engineering for companies serving primarily the computer chip manufacturing and telecommunication industries (AT&T, ASML, Xperi, and Jenoptik.) Marc also volunteers for SPIE, the international optical engineering society. where he enjoys supporting student chapters around the world, mentoring early career professionals and Startup Challenge teams, and increasing US Senate and House member’s awareness of the importance of photonics in our everyday lives are for solving some of the worlds most challenging issues. Marc has visited over 25 countries, enjoys nature and street photography, and is an avid reader. He holds a PhD in Optics and Photonics Sciences from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
