The Elements of Transformation
We live in a time of profound change. Across our societies, organisations and communities, familiar ways of thinking and working are being challenged, while new possibilities are emerging. Transformation is no longer something we can simply observe from a distance — we are all participants in it.
But what makes transformation possible?
Change can happen quickly. Transformation asks something deeper. It requires us to examine not only what we do, but how we think, relate, lead and act. It asks us to consider the conditions that allow individuals, organisations and communities to move from intention to meaningful and lasting change.
What are the elements that make this possible? Purpose? Courage? Trust? Learning? Collaboration? Action? And how do these elements interact to create change that is not only effective, but ethical and sustainable?
At the 37th ebbf Annual Conference, we will come together to explore these questions through different perspectives, experiences and generations. We will examine transformation not as a single destination, but as a process — one shaped by the choices we make, the relationships we build and the systems we help create.
The question is not simply “What needs to change?” but rather: what does meaningful transformation require of us — and how can we become active participants in bringing it about?
