Celebrating the role of women: apply for Ogunte Women’s Social Leadership Awards and ebbf&#821

Below three very practical ways in which ebbf is preparing to celebrate international women’s day this 8th of March truly living one of ebbf’s core values striving for “equal opportunities to women and men in all fields of endeavour“:

1.) ebbf is about to once again be present at the United Nations’ Commission on the Status of Women in New York with Wendi Momen, Dorothy Marcic and Zarin Hainsworth active there and also organising side events including this one taking place on the 13th of March  (find more about the event here)

2.) During the #ebbfLondon “how can I influence my work and world?” international learning event in May in London (more info on the event’s website) Maja Groff and Nava Hinrichs will hold a session titled “Leveraging the power of women and men in the workplace

3.) and we are always on the lookout for excellent like-minded networks that live our core values and we highlight Ogunte, one of those organizations totally dedicated to that ebbf core value. After an uplifting conversation with their CEO Servane Mouazan we learnt and wanted to share with you the opportunity of the Ogunte Women’s Social Leadership Awards.

Applications are open for the Ogunte Women’s Social Leadership Awards, open to women globally.

These awards are an opportunity for women who have achieved positive social and environmental impact to share their best practice to the world, their stories, the obstacles they have faced and importantly how they have overcome them. At the very least, the application process gives an opportunity for women at any stage of their project, organisation, or campaign, to reflect about their vision and the way they deliver change. It’s a learning opportunity.

Application deadline 30th March 2014.
