AIESEC, the world's largest student organization, is the international platform for young people to discover and develop their potential so as to have a positive impact on society.
AIESEC aims to provide members with an integrated development experience comprised of participation in a global learning environment.
In addition to providing over 5,000 leadership positions and delivering over 350 conferences to a membership of over 28,000 students, AIESEC also runs an exchange program that enables over 4,000 students and recent graduates the opportunity to live and work in another country.

Glossary
AIESEC has its own vocabulary – here are a few basic terms. Knowing them will make it easier for EBBF members to access the AIESEC world
AI: AIESEC international – the international governing body of AIESEC, a team of students or recent graduates from all countries, elected for one year. There are various positions such as Vice-President External Relations or Regional Director.
Exchange: AIESEC runs various exchange programmes enabling students and recent graduates to live and work in a different country for several months. Students can choose between management internships at companies or development internships with NGOs. AIESEC is looking for organisations interested in hosting foreign interns.
LC: Local Committee – the local AIESEC chapters at over 1100 Universities worldwide.
MC: Member Committee – each national governing body of AIESEC in about 100 countries. MCs are teams of about 4-6 students or recent graduates serving part-time or full-time for one year. Many of them choose to serve in a foreign country. The contact person for EBBF will usually be the VP External Relations.
The AIESEC calendar
The “AIESEC year” begins each year on July 1 when the new AIESEC International team takes charge.
