Meaningful work: tools
Probably the most common question we hear at ebbf is: How can I go back to work on Monday morning and actually implement some of the ‘work changing’ concepts I’ve just experienced? This is usually an indication that the individual has decided to travel along what we call the ‘Values Path’.
ebbf provides a set of starter tools below for both the individual and the organisation to help you make your worklife both mindful and meaningful along the way to contributing to advancing civilisation.

taking your sustainable company - idea to RIO+20
ebbf wishes to bring fresh new ideas to the RIO+20 summit that will take place this June.
The variety and quality of sustainable initiatives that ebbf members are involved in, will be presented at a stand and during the active presence of ebbf at this UN summit in Rio de Janeiro.
The likely lack of commitment of member states will thus be positively contrasted by the wealth of possibilities and practical actions that ebbf members will offer there.
We are therefore actively seeking the following to then showcase them at the summit:
- your “green / sustainable” company
- your green projects
- your ideas for a sustainable world both at the local and global levels
- if you are also attending the summit with your company / organization exploring how to join efforts
- if you wish to present at the global summit in a panel/workshop ebbf aims to organize
- you are interested in going to Rio de Janeiro to assist manning the ebbf stand and assist with ebbf external relations activities there

I've been working on a model and handbook (already published with support of the GIZ = Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) in order to enable policy shapers (especially in Latin American, Arab and Asien countries) to use the concept of a National Innovation System in order to review policies and shape sustainable development patterns via strengthened innovation systems.

the ebbf values path
Becoming an EBBF member is stepping onto a path of learning: learning to embed values within oneself, to apply them in everyday situations, to share them with colleagues, friends and wider audiences and to seek to understand how doing this all fits into the larger picture.
Walking that path means constantly working to acquire knowledge, making efforts to develop personally and embarking upon ventures where values can be put into practice.
Through the EBBF Values Path you learn and develop your capacity, draw insights from the eternal wisdom of sacred Writings of world religions, tap into the accumulating knowledge of what we already know as a humanity, apply the principles intelligently when addressing the challenges faced at the workplace and consult together on the questions that arise.
Be part of the collaborative effort which draws from actual experience. So be prepared to share your stories which we all can learn from! If you are just starting your journey you will learn how to get started to apply values at your workplace and how forming teams will help you to reflect and learn from your experiences.
