FairPensions is a groundbreaking charity that promotes responsible investment by pension funds and fund managers. Launched in 2005, it already has a strong track record of persuading major investors to increase shareholder activism on environmental, social and governance issues. Today, FairPensions is recognised in the UK as the leading NGO that monitors and engages with the investment industry.
We are looking for a Director of Investor Engagement to lead FairPensions’ work to persuade large investors to adopt responsible investment practices, and to propose action by institutional investors in relation to specific issues (i.e. single issue campaigns focusing on what companies are doing on the ground). Previously these campaigns have tackled access to medicines, mining in the developing world and climate change.
The successful candidate would ideally have experience in finance, pensions, investment management or corporate social responsibility. The person must be comfortable communicating with senior figures in the City.

2. Office Administrator - Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation (IHJR) – The Hague, Netherlands
For its Hague Office, the Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation is seeking an Office Administrator (OA) to support the work of the other staff members, to oversee the logistical needs of the office, and to maintain service contracts and assist in publication work and report writing. . Candidates must have EU residency and/or working papers for The Netherlands. The OA’s responsibilities include:
1) secretarial support (organizing calendars, travel; responsible for mail, answering telephones, keeping website up-to-date, database management, archives)
2) assist in preparation of meetings and take minutes of meetings
3) basic financial management including book keeping, in cooperation with an external administrative office;
4) managing and ordering office supplies;
5) assist in preparing reports and other publications
Reporting & Working Relationships:
The OA reports to the director of the Hague office . The OA will work with the program coordinators, the program director and the director of development.
The OA is the first point of contact for external contractors (e.g., admin office, ICT-provider etc.).
Requirements
The candidate should be able to operate at HBO-level (higher vocational education) and have 2 to 3 to years experience working in a similar function.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience in working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) including database management.
Fluency in Dutch and English, good writing skills.
Familiar with basic bookkeeping skills.
The OA needs to be highly motivated, pro-active, attentive to detail, capable of meeting deadlines and working independently as well as part of a small team. The OA has good communication skills, analytical ability, is an accurate and flexible team worker with a good sense of responsibility.
Familiarization with human rights work and civil society organizations, and an interest in history, in peace processes, reconciliation and/or law are beneficial.

4. Executive Director - Global Network Initiative - Washington DC, USA
The Global Network Initiative (GNI) is seeking an Executive Director to lead a new multi-stakeholder organization dedicated to protecting and advancing the human rights of freedom of expression and privacy in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector.
The GNI was launched on October 29, 2008 when a diverse group of companies, human rights organizations, academics, investors, and technology leaders published new Principles on Freedom of Expression and Privacy, accompanied by Implementation Guidelines and a Governance, Accountability and Learning Framework. Executive Director Position: The Executive Director will report to GNI’s Board of Directors and will be responsible for key tasks and milestones associated with the establishment and operation of the organization. Key milestones include: globalizing and increasing GNI’s membership, developing a strategic plan in close consultation with the board, and making the GNI a leading voice in defending and promoting freedom of expression and privacy in the ICT sector. Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities of the Executive Director will include:

Qualifications: The Executive Director position is designed for candidates with significant relevant experience. An ideal candidate would have:

5. Global Product Manager: Cocoa – Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International - Bonn, Germany
Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International (FLO) unites the producer-, market- and business-facing activities within the Fairtrade Labelling system. FLO develops the Fairtrade Standards; promotes the empowerment of Fairtrade-certified producers by supporting them in gaining and maintaining Fairtrade Certification and capitalizing on market opportunities; and facilitates global Fairtrade markets, to optimise benefits for producers.
The Global Product Manager for Cocoa forms part of the newly-created Fairtrade Global Product Management function. The Manager reports into the Head of Global Product Management, with peers responsible for global product management for other Fairtrade products. The key objective is to understand and manage the supply-demand balance for cocoa and guide cocoa operations of Fairtrade to ensure growth of markets and to maximize the impact of Fairtrade on cocoa producers worldwide. The Global Product Manager for Cocoa will liaise with the Fairtrade Labeling Initiatives who promote Fairtrade cocoa in their respective markets; the Fairtrade producers and Producer Networks representing Latin America, Africa, and Asia; other key stakeholders and experts in cocoa; and the internal units within FLO. The interaction is essential in order to devise and implement a global Fairtrade cocoa strategy. In the first instance the GPM Cocoa Team will be staffed by one Manager and will collaborate closely with the GPM for sugar once that person is hired. It is envisaged that the Cocoa Team will grow as the GPM function becomes fully established.
OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE:
• Define (with key stakeholders) the short and long-term global product strategy for cocoa • Manage the subsequent implementation of strategy – owning plans (short and long term) and managing forecast accuracy levels of supply and demand • Recommend and take action based on plan and forecast: • Contribute towards development of supply base that provides quality and continuity of supply; via producer-facing activity • Help drive and guide business facing units to develop strategic sourcing plans for Fairtrade cocoa to maximize benefit to Fairtrade producers (market facing activity) • Provide high level interaction, direction and information to all key stakeholders to ensure their ability to deliver against own objectives • Share knowledge and communicate across the wider Fairtrade global network on the GPM strategy, plan and delivery for cocoa • Provide insight into policies, costs, supply chain, trading practices, messaging, and pricing to maximize growth of the category and producer benefit • Represent Fairtrade Labelling in the global cocoa market and at relevant conferences.
PRINCIPAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Research, develop and maintain in-depth understanding of current, future and historical context of conventional cocoa operations and the Fairtrade market to inform strategy and plans. This encompasses comprehensive analysis of the supply chain (origins, processes, bottlenecks, producer base, key players, potential risk and opportunities) and external market (global potential, competition, demand, product formulation) • Understand relevant issues in Fairtrade operational scope – pricing mechanism; social and environmental criteria, production (quality, processing), certification & inspection requirements – and its applicability to cocoa. • Build and manage cocoa strategy and associated plans to achieve on-going demand and supply optimization. • Coordinate supply and demand information with market facing actors (global Fairtrade Key Account Managers; Labeling Initiatives Account Managers), supply chain actors and producers. • Coordinate market strategies in collaboration with Labelling Initiatives to maximize the use of Fairtrade cocoa derivatives in a variety of products. • Forecast cocoa demand against planned supply (short and long term). Provide updates, variations and reforecast against baseline on a regular basis • Recommend actions to fix cocoa supply chain bottlenecks and constraints and presents the business case for changes that lead to growth and impact of the category. • Provide cocoa-specific guidance to other functions within Fairtrade Labelling, including the Standards and Pricing functions, Producer Services and Relations, and FLO-CERT. • Provide sourcing assistance, guidance, and risk management to Labelling Initiatives interfacing with the market and with their accounts. • Actively engage with cocoa advisors (experts, traders, and producers) and ensure producer involvement in the cocoa strategy. • Communicate progress against cocoa strategy and plan, and make relevant information available to all key stakeholders. • Coach, guide and mentor (future) direct reports and create a global team for cocoa.
SKILLS REQUIRED:

We invite you to play a huge part in running, shaping and growing the Hub Islington offering with relation to space, network, programming and services. You will be given a unique opportunity to develop the original Hub in the fast expanding global Hub network (meaning bags of entrepreneurial spirit are a must!).
We care much more about your core qualities, skills and approach than we do about fitting you into categories associated with particular roles. This is a high-level position involving carrying out a variety of responsibilities to the highest standard. The role has three main elements:
• Space & People
Hosting of the space for 2 days a week to ensure involvement in all aspects of running a Hub. This involves space management, meeting and signing up new members, managing meeting room bookings, light maintenance if needed and connecting members within the network. Work is done together with a Hosting Team and members. You need to be good with people and able to respond well and efficiently to feedback, constantly developing the Hub space offering.
• Programming & Services
Coordinating a thriving programme of events and activities, you will liaise closely with members to ensure you maximise the potential of both the space and the network. Leading the event management of all events with support from the Hosting team. You will ideally have some experience of organising an events programme from conception through to delivery and a network of contacts in various sectors. Working closely with the team at Hub Kings Cross to explore and develop opportunities for collaboration between Hubs and members in London, you will also focus on developing new services for members (such as insurance and scholarship schemes) along with being the main point of contact within the international Hosts community for Islington.
• Attraction
Attracting and inviting a wider network of social innovators to join the Hub or work with us on new collaborative projects along with participation in relevant events, representing the Hub. You will need to have confidence, be personable and able to see the potential for collaboration between the Hub and a variety of social entrepreneurs, organisations and campaigns.
We are looking for someone with a passion and drive for the development of social initiatives both on a local and international level who can dedicate to the Hub and the hard work involved in running it successfully.
