Warm welcome to new members

This month we have the pleasure of welcoming new members from:

France,  Spain,  Switzerland,  USA,  Slovakia,  Canada,  The Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Gilles Cavalli - Avignon, France

Born in France of an Italian family, I granduated from an engineering school in Lyon, France with a specialisation in environmental engineering. I have just become general manager of  the Laboratoire Apexema de Biotechnologies, a recent start-up specialising in the improvement of the physical quality of water. As a complementary process to the classic chemical treatement, our process reinvigorates water and restores its texture lost during transport from its source to the place of use. The benefits to both professionals and individual users are improved general health of human beings.  In addition to its commercial activities, we are developing an activity aimed at offering life enhancing water to the maximun number of people. Our motto is « Return to the source of water. »

Karim Beers – Madrid, Spain

I was born in the USA but have been greatly influenced by ten years spent in Latin America and Africa. I studied Education and Development, and am very much interested in the training human resources capable of leading processes of development in their own communities. I am also intrigued by the idea of economic systems based on the principle of cooperation rather than competition, and look forward to the day when our current political and economic systems will remain only as a pitied memory. Raised by parents who recycle, compost, and ride their bikes to work, I now struggle to bring coherence to my ecological and spiritual beliefs and my day-to-day practices in Madrid, where I now work and live quite happily with my wife.

Mojdeh Izadinia - Weissensteinstr, Switzerland

My current position is Accounting Manager at eBay's European Shared Service Centre in Bern, Switzerland. My feild of work is in accounting. I would like to be a part of a network of individuals who have a positive vision of the future of business and development. Social Economic Development is an area that interests me.

Langdon Miller – Washington, United States

I am a Program Coordinator implementing democracy and governance initiatives. Currently I am a desk officer for project to coordinate technical election support services to the Electoral Commission of Pakistan. A burning issue is the question of how does one promote a culture of consultative decision making in societies where a history of authoritarian structures have not allowed for individual autonomy within organizations. Social entrepreneurship is an area of interest for me.

Ariane Sabet - Bratislava, Slovakia

Founder of Ariana Enterprises, specializing in the areas of educational consulting and professional training. Her projects range from primary school education to university programme development. Arina specializes in hand-made carpets from various regions from around the globe. For Arina Enterprises, carpets are a love affair. The soul of a carpet comes to life in your individual environment. That us why we specialize in in-home consultation.
